& Events:
As a parent, there is nothing more frightening than knowing your child has serious disabilities, yet living day to day without understanding how to help her. ARC changed our lives! Their staff immediately took us in and helped us with therapy and techniques to address her disabilities. For a family in our situation, there are no other organizations that can provide the care, expertise and resources ARC does. Simply put, their work is God's work to many families.
The ARC Of Martin County
Welcome to the ARC of Martin County website!
When Advocates for the Rights of the Challenged (ARC) was founded in 1956, we imagined a place in Martin County where people with disabilities could lead fulfilling lives…where they could have a sense of kinship, both with each other and the larger community. We imagined a way to meet their needs and teach new skills, so that they could not only survive and adapt to society, but flourish in their individual pursuit of happiness.
Today, ARC of Martin County serves over 250 children and adults with disabilities each year, with programs such as community based residential home and specialized homes, independent supported living, after-school, summer camps, employment training, and behavioral therapy.
We encourage you to explore our website and learn more about the work we are doing to assist and support children and adults with disabilities and their families to "Achieve Their Fullest Potential."
